"The Quintessential Quintuplets, Vol 1" by Negi Haruba

Funny – check!
Great and engaging plot – check!
Amazing drawings – check!

This is a story about Futaro, an excellent student whose family is suffering under crippling debt. To earn extra money, his father secures him a job as a tutor for a new student, but Futaro is very surprised when it turns out it is not just one person he has to tutor, but five identical quintuplets sisters that hate nothing more than doing their homework. (And for a good reason. They are struggling in getting passing grades)
Futaro is set in for a challenge as all of the sisters hate him on sight alone, and will do anything to get away from him. At first, their relationship is full of distrust and dislike, as the story evolves, it turns into something different.

We know very early, in a flashforward from chapter 1, that Futaro someday will marry one of the sisters, and at first that seems unlikely.
Futaro is not your typical hero. He's stuck up, anal about homework and has been very busy in achieving good grades so now his social skills are suffering. But his determination to do everything to make the sisters succeed is surprisingly sweet, and as the story evolves he helps the girls in more ways than just improving their grades.

This is such a cute and funny read.
I love the dynamic between the sisters and Futaro. It's definitely what's keeping me reading.

I'm on volume 9, and I have NO IDEA who he will end up with!
And it's not because I don't have a favourite, I DO!, but then something new and exciting happens, lots of hints and not-so-much hints, and I'm suddenly at a different team, and yet I think I might cry if he doesn't end up with my fav girl.

There are still so many things that can happen in this story, it's no near slowing down, and I'm nervously anticipating the next volume.

He's a nice guy and agrees - all she has to do is be at his beck and call. His own personal slave dog. Turns out he's a wolf in sheep's clothing! Now, now, before anyone goes complaining that this guy is evil and mistreating her, just remember that Erika could stop this farce at any time by telling the truth to her friends. ”Lovely Muco!, Vol 1” by Takayuki Mizushina

”Lovely Muco!, Vol 1” by Takayuki Mizushina is a read full of giggles. Any pet lover will enjoy getting an insight into Muco's thoughts about her life with her much-beloved owner, Mr. Komatsu. Her thoughts are very much dog, and in the beginning, it's difficult to understand what Muco's obsessions with her shiny nose and chewing her blanket are all about, but as the pages turn, you get a pretty clear idea of how much this dog just want to help Mr. Komatsu and how much she loves him. Perhaps you might even get inspiration on how to understand your pet? I love the stories about their daily life in the glass art studio in the mountains. Muco brings lots of joy and entertainment every day. I love especially when Mr. Komatsu misunderstands her needs. This is a cute, relaxing, and full of-giggles read. Just what I needed.
